Books gifted to us by our friend
Maksim Nazarenko from LUKOIL
April 2nd, 2021
We would like to share with everyone how honored and thankful we are to our great friend Maksim Nazarenko for giving us such an amazing gift!
We have received many copies of a book "Применение методов машинного обучения для вероятностного прогноза добычи нефти" or in English “Application of Machine Learning for Probabilistic Oil Production Forecasting” by Maksim Nazarenko co-authored with Professor Zolotukhin A.B.
The book addresses the main issues related to the quantitative assessment of risks and uncertainties in the production forecast and the calculation of estimated ultimate recovery (the quantity of oil and gas that is potentially recoverable) in waterflooded oil fields using machine learning methods and models of displacement curves.
Maksim has worked on this book for many years, during his professional career in LUKOIL and while pursuing M.Sc. Petroleum Engineering degree at Texas A&M University in USA, and we are really delighted to be able to enjoy fruits of his long years of work.
We hope that this book will not only improve technical knowledge of our students, but also improve and enhance the use of Russian language, which we have as a mandatory subject during first four semesters of our Bachelor's studies at our study program.
Thank you Maksim!
